Unit Review: Gundam AGE-1 Normal

Type: Mid-range
Weapon 1: Beam Saber - 4 hits
Weapon 2: Dodds Rifle (Low Output)
Weapon 3: Dodds Rifle (High Output) - Penetrate, Stun
Skill 1: Reload Up
Skill 2: Booster Extension
Special: Melee

Weapon & Skill Review:
  • Decent sword for a mid-range B rank unit
  • Once Reload Up is activated, it's easy for Age-1 to attack the enemies relentlessly with weapon 3&2 combo.
  • Once the Weapon 3 hits, shoot with Weapon 2 immediately
  • Booster Extension gives you more boost to hover longer and chase enemies better
  • Recommend saving SP attack and keep the skills activated as long as possible
  • Can move while shooting Weapon 3 (many other units with stun guns like 0-Gundam and Zaku III (Mouth Beam Gun) cannot move while shooting a stun weapon)

Playing - Advantage:
  • Strong combination of weapon 3&2
  • Longer booster time to shoot while hovering (one factor that is much better than similar units like 0-Gundam)
  • Able to move while shooting a stun weapon
  • Easy to use. Recommended for anyone.

Playing Disadvantage:
  • Weak against I-field units since all ranged weapons are beam-type (but since most of your games with this guy will be ABC or BC matches this won't be a big problem)

Etc.
- I usually compare this with 0-Gundam. If one prefers better mobility, use AGE-1 Normal since it can shoot a stun gun while dashing around which 0-Gundam cannot. However, one factor that may make you want to use 0-Gundam instead is its ranged SP attack. Two different stun styles, two different SP styles.

How to get it:
1. Custom Capsule - Somewhat hard to get if you are not lucky
