Weapon & Skill Review:
Before R
- Not as large as it says in its name. Standard beam saber for a mid-range unit.
- A little stronger version of a standard beam rifle. The range is a little longer and the beam size is a bit wider than a standard one. Think of it as a beam cannon downgraded to a beam rifle. It also has a Penetration effect. This will probably be your main weapon throughout the game.
- Pretty good remote weapon that inflicts sufficient damage and sustain better than small funnels. You will not spam this weapon as much as other units with remote weapons because of the After-R mode.
- Will only transform if your Fin Funnels' ammo is full. Otherwise, you must deplete the ammo and wait until it's full.
- When it transforms, Fin Funnels create a 'tent' that greatly reduces the damage of beam weapons. It was used to complete nullify beam weapons but has been nerfed to take some damage. However, it's still a great counter to units that heavily rely on a beam rifle and a beam cannon. This tent can break after taking tons of damage, but that will take almost the entire Normal PvP while Nu does not transform back. So in a typical game, just consider it not breaking down in any game.
- Although the name is Beam Cannon, this one is more like a standard beam rifle than Before-R's Beam Rifle. The range is fairly longer than the standard one to hold up its name 'cannon'. Only downside is that the reload is very slow so you really should not spam it too often.
- Hyper Bazooka is Nu's only ballistic-type weapon. Both damage and splash damage range are great, but the reload rate is once again really slow. Extra care is required for those not good with bazooka-type weapons since you will just spam it to land even one shot.
- Psycoframe increases Nu Gundam's overall movement and displays enemies on your radar. It also increases damage and reload rate of Fin Funnel. In my opinion, the boost for Fin Funnel is somewhat useless because I would refrain myself from launching Fin Funnels so that I can always transform in any situation.
Playing - Advantage:
- Great defense against units with only beam weapons
- Pretty powerful weapons
Playing - Disadvantage:
- Very slow reload rate overall. It can be improved a bit if teammates are using units with skills like Defense Commander but still feels slow.
- Always have to sacrifice either Fin Funnels or After-R mode

- The only S-rank with a B-rank unit as a key unit.
